ಪಂಚರಂಗಿ .. ಜೀವದಲ್ಲಿ ನೂರು ನೂರು ಭಾವ ಭಂಗಿ

It always happens when the new comes, or some new experiment happens. It takes a great deal to accept something that doesn’t fall in line.

Well am back with some lines again about another movie that I felt is very special.

It’s a new flick by director Yograj Bhat titled “Pancharangi”, Casts Diganth, Nidhi and Anantnag is a respectable smalltime character.

The movie has no strong storyline, the ususal masala things or the twists and turns that would be expected out of a movie. Without the 5 songs it would have been easily classified as a documentary or something. No high emotional scenes or dramas. Only thing that we notice is the dialogues and only dialogues keep you glued to your seats for 3 hours. Yograj and his team has excelled in coming up with witty dialogues that will make everyone laugh and cry and laugh again and say LOL, ROFL and whatever superlatives that can be attributed.

“Any comedy is worth, if u realize after all the laughing that it has lit a spark of thought within you”

I wouldn have written this if it was just a 3 funfilled hours that Pancharangi gave us. After all the laughter and the fun, there is something in the movie where we all relate to and something which strikes us at the very deeper level. The character of Diganth portrays a youth who is fed up of the materiality in the world, it painfully brings up the lack of LIFE in every relationship and questions that if the destiny that we are struggling hard to acquire is really worth of all that we are loosing in the journey. It shows the sacrifices we do in our present to either keep our past (parents) or future happy and satisfied. It also portrays the journey of a young chap into the world of Real and True love which he has believed doesn’t exist.

But all this aspects which sound so serious and crappy are touched upon in the movie within the layers of comedy. The powerful wit in the dialogues and the situations will hold your senses that we wont even realize all these things while watching, but only once the laugh is faded and our minds are relaxed we start to think over. With this YB has succeeded in giving a new kind of movie with experimented approach in the way things are told.

The below lines from a song in the movie says it all :

“ಹೇಳು ತಪ್ಪು ಸರಿಗಳು..
ನಗುವುದು ಮರೆತಿದೆ ಹೃದಯಗಳು..
ಒಂದು ಒಳ್ಳೆ ನಗುವಿಗೆ , ಮೀನಿಂಗ್ ಫುಲ್ ಬದುಕಿಗೆ
ಎಲ್ಲೈತಪ್ಪ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾಗಗಳು.. “

Kannada movie industry is seeing lot of changes in the recent times and though the number of movies flowing in and out are huge, in one way it is giving place for many new experimentations. The bad one’s time will be done and the industry takes a new path with all new dimensions.

Make some time and watch Pancharangi. Who cares for a story? 3hours of your life you will dedicate to total laughter and laughter.

Cheers.

Let me know what you think..
